“I Turn My Camera On,” into “Hell Is Round The Corner” by Tricky into “The Things That Dreams Are Made Of,” by the Human League is a killer segue I’ve no doubt, if you happen to be DJ’ing to European junkies in terrible leather jackets but it’s also just killer. You could throw some “Emotional Rescue” in there as well. I am posting about a hundred or so photos of myself in the author section shortly. I am being vain because I happen to like these photos. So if you care to see the guy behind the guy behind the guy, check it out in the next few days. Let me take you down the corridors of my life, as Mr. Tricky says. Does Martine Topley Bird still sing with him? I mean in eternity she does, yes. As Hope Sandoval still sings with Dave from Opal. Dave Roback? That’s his name. Like how Alison Moyet got smart and went back to Vince Clarke and vice verse. I don’t have much to say today but these things I know to be true. And my brain thinks bomb-like. I believe, despite my CONTINUED anxiety dreams (last night i was back at Bennington with no cable, no classes, no class, bad cowboy boots and i was sharing a bunk bed with Doug Brod, my pal and EIC at Spin who didn’t even go to fucking Bennington). I was SO happy to wake up to Morning Joe and a bubbling fish tank. And faux alligator creepers. Good coffee. My 40s. Eek. Anyway, I believe despite my doom death disco dreams, that I have reunited with my Martine, Hope and Alf these days and those photos reflect that shit….
not a moment too soon… bye bye sweetie.
